Thank you to everyone who supported the 9th annual bike tour in 2008, which raised almost $10,000 in the pouring rain to help NPL in its mission to provide top quality library services to all members of the communities which it serves. ****119 riders participated****

Starting at picturesqueLITTLE BUFFALO STATE PARK, travelling into western Perry County, and back to the park.

FOUR TOURS TO CHOOSE FROM: 5K, 25K, 50K, and 100K(all tours share a common loop)
$20 if registered by 9/19/09; $25 after 9/19/09: Fee waived if $100 or more raised in sponsorships!
Free long-sleeve T-shirts to the first 100 registered riders!
Water stations, rest stops, SAG wagons on all four courses, & lunch provided for all riders at end of tour.
Registration starts at 8:00AM, all riders must be finished by 4:00PM
Event will be held rain or shine- This is Perry County, so expect some hilly terrain.
ALL PROCEEDS BENEFIT NEWPORT PUBLIC LIBRARY!

Directions:

From Harrisburg: 322/22W to Newport exit (Rt. 34S) Left off exit into Newport, Left at 4th St. (follows 34S), Right at Smith's Auto Parts (onto Little Buffalo Rd.), Left at State Park Swimming Pool entrance, and Follow signs.
From Lewistown: 322/22E to Newport exit (Rt. 34S), Right off exit into Newport, Left at 4th St. (follows 34S), Right at Smith's Auto Parts (onto Little Buffalo Rd.), Left at State Park Swimming Pool entrance, and Follow signs.
From Carlisle: Rt. 34 N to New Bloomfield, Left at New Bloomfield square, Right onto Cold Storage Rd, (look for sign) and proceed about 3 miles, Right onto Little Buffalo State Park Rd. (another park sign), After Little Buffalo State Park entrance sign continue onto the West end of the park (Swimming Pool entrance), and turn right, Follow signs.
