Friends of NPL is a non-profit support group that is
separate from the library. Our purpose is to promote the use of the library,
to provide funds for its programs and activities, and to purchase equipment
and books to enhance the use of the facilities. Our funds come from
memberships, the used
book sales* we hold each spring and fall, and special projects like
the collectible library
replicas made by Hometowne Collectibles. Joining the Friends
of NPL means that you are a part of the financial support that
supplements the needs of the library not covered by the library's annual
budget. Friends of NPL also sponsor programs, such as the
genealogy seminars and Antique Treasures programs that have been presented
over the past few years. If you have a special interest you would like to
see promoted, and you are willing to help organize an event or program,
please let us know. We are always in need of people who can lend a hand.
